What to Do in Málaga at Christmas 2025 and the Best Parking Option
If you’re looking for things to do in Málaga at Christmas 2025, get ready for a city full of lights, family plans, and a festive atmosphere. Thousands of visitors fill the historic centre during this season, which means that parking in Málaga city centre can be quite a challenge. A very convenient option is to park at the Málaga Plaza Shopping Centre Parking, located just a few minutes’ walk from Calle Larios and the main Christmas attractions.
1. See the Christmas lights show on Calle Larios
The must-see plan is the Calle Larios Christmas lighting show, which this year features a brand-new design called “Natividad de Luz”, with large illuminated medallions and a spectacular display of music and lights.
- Lighting switch-on: from 28 November 2025
- Show times: at 6:30 pm, 8:30 pm and 10:00 pm
Tip: choose the first show and go on a weekday to avoid crowds. If you’re travelling by car, parking nearby is very difficult—this is why we recommend parking at Málaga Plaza and walking just 6 minutes to Calle Larios.
2. Explore the Christmas Markets
The Christmas markets in Málaga are perfect for shopping and a relaxed walk:
- El Corte Inglés Market (Plaza Antonio Banderas): from 28 November to 5 January, open 11:00 am to 10:00 pm. Ideal to combine with a stroll around the port and the Palm Grove of Surprises. From Málaga Plaza Parking you can walk there in under 10 minutes.
3. Nativity scenes and Malaga Christmas traditions
The city puts great care into the tradition of the Nativity scene:
- Municipal Nativity Scene at the City Hall
- Cathedral Nativity Scene
- Provincial Council Monumental Nativity Scene, with thousands of figures and miniatures
A great plan is to park at Málaga Plaza and visit the nativity scenes in the morning, then enjoy the Christmas lights in the evening.
4. Family activities: Botanical Garden and more
For a unique experience, visit the La Concepción Historical-Botanical Garden, which transforms into an illuminated night route with a themed show (“Alice Christmas” in 2025), from 28 November to 6 January, with entry slots between 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm.
You can also enjoy Christmas carol concerts, traditional zambombás, and the Three Kings Parade on 5 January.

Where to park in Málaga at Christmas without stress?
During the holiday season, finding free parking in the centre is almost impossible. The best recommendation is to park at the Málaga Plaza Shopping Centre Parking, a comfortable, secure, indoor car park with direct access from Avenida de Andalucía. Plus, it’s only a few minutes’ walk from Calle Larios, the Cathedral, the Christmas market and all central activities.
Book your parking space at Málaga Plaza and enjoy Christmas without traffic, without circling around, and with total peace of mind.
